What This Site Collects, and What It Does Not
Written to be read rather than to be survived. The short version is below; the detail follows. If anything here is unclear or appears not to match what the site actually does, email fashion@womensfashioneu.com and it will be checked and corrected.

Nothing you enter into a tool is collected, so there is nothing to sell. We hold only an email address, and only if you gave us one. |
The rest of this page explains each of those in detail.
What the Calculators and Quizzes Collect
Nineteen tools sit on this site and they are the reason most people visit. Eighteen of them run entirely inside your browser: the measurements or answers you type in are used by code running on your own device, the result appears, and nothing is transmitted to us or to anyone else. We never see what you entered, and there is no server-side record of it.
A few of those tools deliberately save your work in your own browser using local storage, because the task takes more than one sitting. This is data stored on your device, not on ours. It is never transmitted, we cannot see it, and clearing your browser's site data removes it permanently. It also does not follow you to another device.
| Tool | What it saves | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Capsule Wardrobe Builder | Which pieces you have ticked, your settings | Your browser only |
| Cost Per Wear Calculator | Items you chose to save and their wear counts | Your browser only |
| Luggage Weight Calculator | Your packing list | Your browser only |
| Several tools | Your currency and unit preference | Your browser only |
| Clothing Budget Calculator | Nothing at all, not even locally | Not saved |
| All other tools | Nothing | Not saved |
Why the budget calculator saves nothing
It asks for your take-home pay, which is the most sensitive thing any tool here requests. It is calculated in your browser and kept nowhere — not on our servers, not in local storage, and not in the page address. Closing the tab removes it.
Clearing what a tool has saved
Each of those tools has a control to clear its own saved data. Clearing your browser's stored data for this site removes all of it at once. Nothing survives that, because nothing was ever anywhere else.
The Face Shape Tool and Your Photograph
Your photograph is processed inside your browser and never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to our servers, not sent to any third party, not sent to any AI service, and not stored anywhere. We never receive it and cannot see it.
The face shape detector offers three ways to get a result: entering four measurements, answering four questions in front of a mirror, or using a photograph. The first two involve no image at all and are the modes we recommend, because they are more accurate. The photo option exists because many people prefer it.
When you choose the photo option, a facial landmark detection model is loaded into your browser and runs there, on your own device. Your image is read by that code, four facial proportions are measured from it, and the image is then discarded from memory. At no point is the image transmitted over the internet. There is no upload, no server request carrying the image, and no third-party service involved.
What this means concretely. We do not have your photograph. We could not produce it if asked, because it was never sent to us. It is not in any database, not in any backup, not in any log, and not in any AI training data — ours or anyone else's. The facial measurements derived from it are also not transmitted; they exist in the page only until you close or refresh it.
On the legal question, since it comes up: this tool measures facial proportions in order to classify a face shape. It does not attempt to identify anyone, does not compare your face against any database, and does not create a biometric template capable of recognising you. It also, as described above, does not process your image anywhere we control. If you would prefer not to use an image at all, the measurement and quiz modes reach the same result with no photograph involved.
If this ever changes
If the photo option ever moved to server-side or third-party processing, this page would be updated before the change went live, the tool's own page would state it at the point of upload, and the change would appear in the change log at the bottom of this page. Any such change would be material and is not planned.
The Outfit Suggestion Tool
One tool on this site sends data to a server. It sends your four answers about weather and occasion — not your identity, not an image, not a measurement. There is a daily limit per browser, counted using a value that cannot identify you.
The 'What Should I Wear Today' tool generates a suggestion rather than calculating one, which means it cannot run entirely in your browser. The four answers you give — a temperature band, the weather conditions, where you are going and how you want to feel — are sent to our server, which requests a suggestion and returns it to you.
What is sent is those four answers and, if you supplied them, your colour season, body shape or undertone. What is not sent is anything identifying: no name, no email, no photograph, no measurements. There is no account, and the request is not linked to any profile of you.
To keep the tool free, there is a limit of ten suggestions per browser per day. Counting that requires storing a short-lived, non-identifying value that resets daily. It cannot be used to work out who you are or to link your requests to anything else you do.
Our server may pass the request to an AI provider in order to generate the suggestion. What that provider receives is the same four answers and nothing else — no identifying information of any kind accompanies it. Where an external AI service is used, requests are processed via Google Gemini API (Google LLC, United States and EU data centres). Under our API configuration, API inputs and outputs are not used to train Google models and are not retained beyond the immediate processing of the request. When external services are unavailable or daily limits are reached, suggestions are generated using our own on-server styling matrix with no external provider call.
Using the site without this
Every other tool works without any server call. If you would rather not use the one that does, the other eighteen are unaffected.
The Newsletter and the Contact Form
Two places on this site ask for an email address, both optional and neither required to use anything. The newsletter, which sends occasional guides and new tools. And the contact form, which sends your message to us so we can reply.
Newsletter addresses are used to send the newsletter and nothing else. They are not sold, not shared and not used to build a profile. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and you can also ask us to remove you by replying or emailing directly. The newsletter subscription list is managed directly on our own server inside WordPress; no third-party email marketing provider or mailing list broker is used.
Contact form submissions are emailed to us and are not stored in the site's database. They are used to reply to you and kept in the email account for as long as the correspondence is useful, then deleted.
What You Can Ask For
Depending on where you live, you have rights over personal data held about you — to see it, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to its use, and to receive a copy. Readers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area have these under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation. Readers in California and several other states have comparable rights under their own laws.
In practice, exercising them here is unusually simple, because there is very little to exercise them over. We hold no measurements, no photographs, no tool results and no profiles. The only personal data we hold is an email address, and only if you gave us one.
Access or deletion
Email us and we will confirm what is held and remove it. Usually this is one newsletter address or one email thread.
Newsletter
Unsubscribe from any email, or ask us. Immediate.
Tool data
Held only on your device. Clear it yourself in the tool or in your browser settings; we have no copy to delete.
Requests go to fashion@womensfashioneu.com and are answered within thirty days, usually within two to three working days.
If you are in the EEA or UK and are not satisfied with how a request was handled, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
How Long Anything Is Kept
| What | How Long |
|---|---|
| Measurements and quiz answers | Not kept at all |
| Photographs in the face shape tool | Not kept; never received |
| Tool data saved in your browser | Until you clear it; we never receive it |
| Newsletter email address | Until you unsubscribe or ask for removal |
| Contact form messages | While the correspondence is useful, then deleted |
| Server access logs | 30 days |
The last row is worth explaining, because it is the one place an IP address is involved. Like every hosted website, this site sits on a server that records requests — the page requested, the time, the browser, and the IP address the request came from. Those logs exist for security and troubleshooting, are not linked to anything else, and are not used to build any profile of you. They are kept for 30 days and then deleted by the host.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us an email address or a message, contact us and it will be deleted.
Changes to This Policy
This page will change when the site changes. Material changes — a new third-party service, a change to how the face shape tool processes images, the introduction of advertising or analytics — will be made here before the change goes live, not afterwards, and listed below with a date.
Minor changes, such as clarifying wording, are made without notice and the last-updated date at the top of the page changes.
