Md Zubayer Al Hasan
FOUNDER AND WRITER, WOMEN'S FASHION EU
I write everything on this site — the nineteen tools, their methodologies and the guides. I trained in fashion through to master's level and spent seven years working in and around garment manufacturing in Bangladesh, which is where a substantial share of European high-street clothing is made.
That production-side background is the reason this site exists in the form it does. Most fashion writing describes clothes from the outside. Having worked near the pattern table, I can describe how a brand sets its base size, how it grades outward, and why two garments carrying the same label fit differently — which is the question almost every tool here is built to answer.

What I Actually Know, and How
Expertise claims on fashion sites are usually vague, so here is the specific version. My training is in fashion, taken to master's level in Bangladesh. My working experience is on the production side of the garment industry rather than the editorial or retail side — seven years of it, five in Bangladesh and two more since.
What that gives is a working understanding of how clothing is dimensioned. Sizing is not a published standard that brands follow, it is a set of decisions each brand makes independently. A base size is chosen, measurements are set for it, and every other size is graded up or down from there by increments the brand picks. How much is added at the waist versus the hip, how the tolerances are set, whether the published chart matches what comes off the line — those choices are why a twelve from one label and a twelve from another are not the same garment.
That is invisible from a shop floor and it is the foundation of most of the tools on this site. The brand deviation tables, the conversion charts, the explanation of why label size and actual waist measurement diverge on jeans — all of it comes from that side of the industry rather than from reading other people's blogs.
Where the background does not reach, I say so. I am not a stylist, not a trained colourist, and I have not lived in Europe. The tools covering colour analysis and personal style are built on published frameworks that I have read thoroughly and documented honestly, including their weaknesses — which is a different and more limited claim than personal expertise, and the relevant pages make that distinction rather than blurring it.

How I Research and Check What Goes Up
Every measurement, conversion and brand note is checked against a primary source before publication — the brand's own chart or the relevant national standard, never another blog. Sizing data is reviewed quarterly and each tool page shows the date it was last checked.
This site is built on numbers, and a wrong number is worse than no number. That shapes how I work more than anything else. Nothing goes up because it appeared in three other articles; that is precisely how errors propagate across this subject, and a good deal of the sizing information online is a decade-old figure copied forward. Where a figure cannot be traced to a brand's published chart or a national standard, it is removed rather than hedged.
AI tools are used in research and drafting here, as they now are across most of publishing, and I would rather say so than have you wonder. They are useful for structure and for surfacing what has already been written. They are not reliable on specifics, and specifics are the whole value of a site like this — so every figure is verified by hand afterwards.
Corrections are published rather than made quietly. If a brand revises its chart or I have got something wrong, the page changes and says what changed. Anyone who finds an error is doing me a favour by pointing it out, and the email address is on every page for that reason.

Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a measurement or a brand note on this site is wrong, tell me and I will check it against the source and change it. Questions and suggestions for tools are welcome too.
